Belt Up

Solo for performer, cello, suit belts and ties | c. 20′

If masculinity is a wardrobe, what do the belts and ties represent? Combining theatre, movement, live music and some gentle audience participation, Belt Up takes a humorous, sober look at the entanglements and posturing of hypermasculine performance.

“Lovely human nature / interaction with audience members”
“Warmly unpredictable”
“loved the slow, silent, sensitive ending”
